Priest Lake

Today we went to Priest Lake with some friends. We really do need more snow. You could even see some bare spots on the ground. If we don't get more snow in the mountains it could make for a bad fire season. We have way more snow at our house then there is in the mountains. Usually it is the other way around.

Giving the dog a work out

My Morning Barkfast

This is pretty much a regular routine for the dogs in the morning, usually when I am in the bathroom getting ready for work.

Logan & Aaron

I can't believe they are so growed up already - I am sure every parent has thought the same. It just goes by way too fast. We had Logan's sr. pictures done at our house this fall and had Aaron included in some of them too, here's just a couple taken.

College, Dogs & Wrestling

Today Logan got his letter of acceptance from WSU along with a 2,000 Scholarship for his academics.

Good thing because yesterday while shopping in Spokane I came across these WSU dog t-shirts that I just couldn't resist and they were on clearance. Poor old Sparky is starting to show his age.
And......Aaron finally got his wrestling shoes in the mail - Size 17, here's my size 8 shoe next to his.
Since he has been wrestling he seems to think he can wrestle everyone and everything including poor Jasper. Now how unfair is that. When Aaron started wrestling he was 218, which put him in the unlimited category but he soon lost weight from all the work out, he has literally been working his butt off. His first match he was told he would wrestle some one his age and weight and experience (this is the first time he has ever wrestled, the coaches and team recruited him because of his weight and size - little did he know) Well as it turned out he was up against a Senior who was well experienced at wrestling and 285 pounds - needless to say Aaron got his but whipped in 20 seconds. Sooooo......that has pretty much been what the whole wrestling season has been like He is now down to almost 200 but sometimes they still make him wrestle unlimited. He went to Riverside to wrestle last weekend and came home and told me he had to wrestle Seniors with mustaches and tatoos. I feel for him, he has been a good sport and sticking it out but is getting his butt kicked. He is now down to almost 200 pounds, practices are gruelling. What made him decide to do this is beyond me but I am very proud of him.

Looks to me like they are boxing. Isn't his WSU shirt awesome!

Shoveling

We spent the afternoon at the Smiley's shoveling off their roof. There has been several roof collapses in the area so we decided it was best that we shovel it off instead of waiting for it to slide, it didn't look like it was going to slide. And yes, that is a snow blower on the roof.

Aaron yelling at the snow Gods, or maybe he was just stretching.
Almost done, after 4 hours and 3 guys. Quite the roof.

Snowmobiling

Today we took Matt's cousin Karyn and her boyfriend Roger for a snowmobile ride, we went to South Baldy. Here is a panoramic picture I took at the top of the mountain. You may have to click in it to enlarge to see it better.

This is my crazy snow loving snowmobiling rider - Logan Michael Castle - he's good - he loves it- this is is sport - his passion - he is very good and I love to watch him, I wish I could ride like he does.

This is the look out tower on South Baldy.
It was such a beautiful day, but cold, -18 at our house this morning. I love how blue the ski is and how white the snow is.

Here's me - usually not too many pictures of me as I am the one with the camera but since Karyn was with us she snagged this one.
This is Logan, flying off of the mountain. He has become an awesome rider and I just love to watch him.
