We got Roger and Donna new camping chairs for Christmas as theirs were really old and the last time we went camping with them they both fell over in their chairs. Hopefully these new chairs will resolve that problem.

Then it was time to open presents.
What else do you get them when you have 4 feet of snow outside - A snowball blaster;
I got new snowshoes and poles as I was using Aaron's snowshoes (from before he wore a size 17 shoe) and using my cross country ski poles. Matt got him a pair also so we can go together. I usually walk my dogs every morning around the property but there has been so much snow it has been hard to so luckily we had the snow shoes.
Exchanging gifts.
Sparky patiently waiting to go outside.
Matt got a new carrhart coat
Hmmm....and these I bought for both boys but maybe was not such a good idea, blow up boxing gloves.
And Jasper finally got to open his stocking, didn't take him long to figure out how to open packages.
Sparky, he's an old pro at opening packages. That's why we now have the stockings. We use to wrap his presents and put them under the tree with everyone elses until he started unwrapping them when ever he felt like it.
Dinner was at Matt's parents as we had cousin Karyn Cowdrey and her boy-friend over from Bellingham. We had shrimp, scallops, king crab, oysters, pasta and bread - it was a feast.
Karyn had steak as she is not a seafood fan - too bad for her.
Grampy relaxing, looks like Sparky and Jasper decided too also.
Just hanging out with the humans.
Matt and the boys left today for a 9 day Elk hunt trip - I and the furry boys stay behind for this adventure - It's a mans thing. They will be gone over Thanksgiving but I will be spending it with my parents for the first time in over 8 years, we had a bit of a falling out and reconnected this spring - crazy ordeal - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - a lot happens in 8 years. An Elk is something we have not had the luck at getting, so far. Good luck guys.
I made 15 pounds of jerky, which I think turned into 3 - maybe. No wonder why Jerky cost so much. Jerky is something I usually make when we have venison available to us. I usually don't use the smoker when I make jerky - I prefer using the food dehydrator as the meat is already so seasoned it doesn't need the extra smoke flavor.
