Happy 18th Logan!!

Logan's 18th Birthday was today. He wanted enchiladas for his birthday dinner so I made him shredded beef enchiladas. We had Grandma and Grandpa Castle over and Grandma Smiley.

New shades

A new dirt bike jersey.
Chrome tips for his muffler on his truck.
New dirt bike pants.
A new kitty?? Anyone who owns a cat knows if you have an empty box sitting around the cat will end up in it.
We call him "Thor" Super Thor. Look out gray power ranger.
A little brotherly love.

We have yet to find Aaron a size 18 motor cross boots, poor kid.

Track

Aaron is having a pretty good track season usually placing in the top 3 with shot-put and disc. He has even gotten first place a couple times in shot-put. He has a good chance at going to state and hopes to break the school record by the time he is a senior.

April

Spring break did not go so well - at least no like we had planned. After we went fishing Logan came down with the flu and was very sick, I think it was the sickest I had ever seen him. He had the flu for 3 days then the day he woke up feeling better Aaron came down with it and had it for 5 days. Of course Matt and I were really hoping we were not going to get it but then on Sunday night it hit Matt, Monday he was to head out of town for some training, he really thought he was going and pumped himself full of medicine and headed out the door with a bottle of gatorade only to get to Diamond Lake and have to turn around and head back home, I was not surprised to see him back. Matt calls it the flu of death - Then the next day it was my turn to get it. That was definitely the worst spring break ever.

On a better note, my sister Jodi came for a visit from Las Vegas. It had been over 10 years since I had seen her. So we had a day out. We went downtown Spokane and went on the carousel and gondola ride, then had lunch at a nice restaurant.

Fishing at Rufus Woods

We finally get to go fishing! I am really getting tired of all this snow. Logan tied some flies for us as we usually catch fish when Logan makes our flies. I will have to post some of his flies at another time.

Yea! I caught a fish! 2lbs and 16 inches - not too bad. Unfortunately I was the only one to catch anything - but the weather was great - 57 and sunny (and no snow) So we were all just glad to be out in the sunshine and on the boat. It was still a little chilly for the fish to be biting, they were moving pretty slow as the water was really cold - we will give it another month and go back. Last year we had great success the end of April.

Mt. Baldy

Matt and the boys spent the day up on Mt. Baldy - I decided to stay home and catch up on a few things, besides I am ready for winter to be over and spring to be here. We still have a good 6 inches or more of snow around the house. I'd much rather be fishing.

New toys for the boys

The boys have finally decided to spend some of their hard earned money they have made in the last couple summers. Logan bought a truck - it needs some work but will be running like new before long.

....and now they both have dirt bikes, it seems that they have acquired a need for speed. How will I keep up with this one. Logan dirt bike - next thing to purchase will be safety equipment, that's for sure.

...and Aaron's bike, do you suppose we will be able to find him some size 18 motor cross boots? I doubt it.
